Hi, I'm Dahlia. I’m a user experience designer based near Toronto. With 3 years of professional experience, my roles span UX designer and researcher across design agency, tech startup, and freelance projects.

Curious and quick to learn, I thrive in cross-functional collaboration, bringing innovation and adaptability to every team I join.

Currently pursuing my Master's degree at Wilfrid Laurier University, I am expanding my design expertise with a focus on business strategy and data-driven decision-making.

UX/UI Designer @ Xkool ↗️

2021 - 2022

At Xkool, I worked as a UX/UI designer in an innovative product team in an Agile environment, leveraging my background in architecture to design a modular building generation tool that enables architects and engineers to rapidly develop solutions through human-computer collaboration and streamline manufacturing integration.

Career Transition

2020 - 2021

After exploring various career paths, I solidified my passion for human-centred design and design thinking methodologies. During this time, I contributed to UX design and research for printers and completed a UX design bootcamp in my spare time to develop my skills in the field.

Designer of the physical world

2012 - 2020

I received comprehensive academic training in Architecture and gained professional experience in both China and the US, from which I developed skills in problem-solving and balancing functional and aesthetic considerations. With a passion for travel, I continue to view architecture as a lens to understand how people interact with their environments.
